How do I rent a film?
Once you’ve decided on a film, click “Purchase Digital Screening”. This will take you to the film distributor’s website where you can purchase your film rental.Since these films come to us from different distributors, the rental pages will each be a little different. Some distributors will require that you create an account with your name and email address, to rent films or connect to your streaming device. Please follow their prompts.

How do I watch a film?
Here is a list of ways to watch the films. Check each film to make sure it is available the way you want to watch it. Each film is different.

Each film has a different viewing window. Some allow you to watch for 48 hrs from time of purchase, others up to 30 days. There is no specific time to watch. View at your convenience.

1. Watch on your computer, tablet, or phone. Simply follow the link provided in your confirmation email. You will be able to stream your film from your browser. Some distributors also offer a phone/tablet app that may create a better viewing experience.

2. Watch on your TV by connecting your computer to it. This is as simple as running an HDMI cable from your computer to your television and selecting the appropriate input.  You can even unplug your Blu-ray player and plug its HDMI cable in your computer. The TV then mirrors your computer screen.

3. Watch on your TV through your Apple TV, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV Stick device. This option is available only if the film's distributor offers an app for your streaming device. We recommend this method for the best quality and minimal fuss. (You will have to install and open the app on your streaming device).

4. Watch on your TV through your phone/tablet using Apple AirPlay or Chromecast. Another option is to stream films with your Apple TV or Chromecast by screen sharing with your smartphone, tablet, or computer on the same Wi-Fi network. Check availability for this option with the individual film rental you purchase

I did not receive a rental confirmation, what do I do?

How does streaming support the theater?
When you rent one of these films, 50% of your purchase goes back to the distributor for the rights to play the movie. The other half goes directly to the ACME.
When you stream one of our virtual films, you support our nonprofit theater and staff, as well as the filmmakers. Thank you!
