It’s London in the swinging 60’s, and recently canned (and desperately hungry) Francis Henshall finds himself newly employed by small-time gangster Roscoe Crabbe, in town to collect a fee from his fiancee's gangster father. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother, herself in love with Stanley Stubbers (her brother's killer) who, in turn, becomes our hero's other 'guvnor.' Fighting a mounting sense of confusion, Francis goes out of his way to serve both bosses. But with the distractions of a pneumatic bookkeeper, a self-important actor, and select members of the criminal fraternity (not to mention his own mammoth appetite) to contend with, how long can he keep them apart? ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS is a hilarious, music-infused farce, and one of the best received comedies in modern theater.

“One of the most hilarious shows I have ever seen in theater.” - Daily Telegraph

Approximate Running Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.

Parking Advisory: *Please Note: During ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, the Junior Museum and Zoo Construction Project happening next to the Lucie Stern Theater will be underway.  That means the current parking lot has been reduced to less than 15 parking spaces and is only accessible from the Hopkins Ave entrance, as the Middlefield entrance is being used for construction traffic.  As such, we recommend giving yourself at least an extra 20 minutes when traveling to the Lucie Stern Theater, as you may need to access street parking and walk a little bit further than normal to reach the theatre.  We’d also recommend carpooling or ridesharing (Lyft or Uber) as much as possible!  We will update you with further information as we receive it.

All performances are held at the:

Lucie Stern Theater

1305 Middlefield Road

Palo Alto, CA 94301
