A letter from the executive director of the Sheridan Arts Foundation...

Dear friends of the Sheridan Arts Foundation,
Due to the rising concerns over public safety in large groups, the Sheridan Arts Foundation has cancelled the remainder of our winter season to do our part to decrease the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, we have postponed rehearsals for Young People's Theater until further notice. While ticket purchasers to these events had been previously notified (and will receive refunds), we wanted to reach out to our entire Opera House community to let you know of this development. As a non-profit dependent on the income from these events for general operating funds, we did not make this decision lightly. However, the health and safety of our patrons, community members and staff remain our top priorities.
Since we made the decision on Friday, March 13, to cancel our March and April events, the impact of COVID-19 on our community has only increased. The San Miguel County Commissioners declared a state of emergency, mandating that public gatherings are limited, and that restaurants and bars close for dine-in services. In light of these circumstances, we have shut down public access to the Sheridan Opera House. All staff members will be working from home. We are all able to be reached by email. 
We are so grateful for the support of community members and patrons of the Sheridan Arts Foundation. If you are willing and able to support our non-profit during this stressful time, please consider making a donation here or renewing your membership here.
