The Union County Performing Arts Center strives to be an event center that is not only accessible, but one that also actively encourages the attendance of all individuals at our performances - regardless of physical ability. To that end, The UCPAC Board of Trustees and staff affirms its commitment to the precepts of equal opportunity and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The UCPAC makes every reasonable effort to comply with ADA guidelines whenever and wherever possible. Please contact the UCPAC Box Office at (732) 499-8226 if you have questions regarding accessibility or would like to request additional accessible assistance ahead of time for an upcoming performance.
Accessible parking spaces are available in each of our lots for vehicles displaying the appropriate state-issued permits. On show nights, there are also four spots available on Main Street next to the Main Stage Box Office. All accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more detailed information, please visit our Directions and Parking page.
Rahway Train Station, which is accessible by elevator, is located on Irving Street and is less than half a mile from UCPAC Main Stage.
Accessible seating can be purchased by phone or at the Box Office. Please inform our staff at the Box Office when purchasing tickets that you would like accessible seating and they will help you select a seat that best meets your needs. Click here to view all of our seating charts.
For patrons using wheelchairs or which require assistance within the theater, the main entrance on Irving Street is barrier free. Accessible seating is available in the left and right orchestra sections as the loge and mezzanine are only reachable by stairs. There are designated seats for those patrons wishing to remain in their wheelchairs as well as for those who wish to transfer to a theater seat.
The entrance to the Loft is located on the side of our Main Stage building and can be reached by a ramp from the rear parking lot. An elevator is available for those requiring it and wheelchair seating is located in the front row.
Both entrances to Hamilton Stage are barrier free. Accessible seating is available in the front row and in the box seats on either side of the theater.
Assistive Listening Systems (ALS)
ALS devices are available upon request. When purchasing tickets, please inform an associate at our box office that you would like to reserve a listening device for the performance. You may call the UCPAC box office at (732) 499-8226, or stop by in person during any of our regular hours.
Large Print programs are available upon request. For those patrons wishing to receive a program in a large print format, please inform our box office when purchasing your tickets.
